5/13/89 - featured an opening announcement by Jim Ross that NWA World Champion Ric Flair had sustained a compressed vertebre and fractured disc from the attack he sustained from Terry Funk at Music City Showdown and that a tag team tournament would be held to determine the new NWA Tag Team Champions; Paul E. Scott Steiner defeated Kevin Sullivan (w/ Paul E. Dangerously) via reverse decision at 3:16; Sullivan originally won the match with a roll up after Steiner hit the ringpost shoulder-first but the referee changed the call after Sullivan tried to attack Steiner with a steel chair after the match, with NWA US Tag Team Champion Eddie Gilbert then coming out to make the save
Terry Funk fought Troy Aldridge to a no contest; prior to the bout, Funk cut an in-ring pomo on the NWA and NWA World Champion Ric Flair not seeing him as a title contender and that was why he was in the ring with the least experienced wrestler so he could work his way up from the bottom; Funk then gave Aldridge a chance to leave and slapped him across the face when he didn't; after Funk slapped him a second time, even harder, Aldridge said he would walk out of the match; Funk then shook his hand before attacking him from behind and assaulted him around ringside to close the broadcast

NWA TV Champion Sting pinned Jack Victory with a crossbody off the top at 1:28; during the bout, Gary Hart joined Jim Ross on commentary to talk about the recent challenge to Sting from Hart & the Great Muta; after the match, Hart grabbed the mic and told Sting things would be different when he faced Muta in a Dragon Shi match; Sting then challenged Muta to an immediate match but Hart said the Dragon Shi stick hadn't arrived and the match would happen when Hart & Muta were ready; Muta eventually appeared ringside but was held back by Hart

Scott Steiner defeated Kevin Sullivan (w/ Paul E. Dangerously) via reverse decision at 3:16; Sullivan originally won the match with a roll up after Steiner hit the ringpost shoulder-first but the referee changed the call after Sullivan tried to attack Steiner with a steel chair after the match, with NWA US Tag Team Champion Eddie Gilbert then coming out to make the save
Terry Funk fought Troy Aldridge to a no contest; prior to the bout, Funk cut an in-ring pomo on the NWA and NWA World Champion Ric Flair not seeing him as a title contender and that was why he was in the ring with the least experienced wrestler so he could work his way up from the bottom; Funk then gave Aldridge a chance to leave and slapped him across the face when he didn't; after Funk slapped him a second time, even harder, Aldridge said he would walk out of the match; Funk then shook his hand before attacking him from behind and assaulted him around ringside to close the broadcast
